Atkinson Plaza is a 19-story condominium located next to the Hawaii Convention Center on Atkinson Drive. The building has a total of 127 units and typically has 10 units per floor. The building was designed by Dimitrios Bratakos Associates (Architect) and built in 1979 by Johiro Brothers Inc (Contractor). The building was initially a Leasehold Building but most units have purchased the fee. The building is comprised of studios, 1-bed, and 2-bed units. There is also one 3 bed unit on the 19th floor.   • Studio Units - 515 sq ft (415 interior + 110 lanai)
  • 1 Bed 1 Bath Units - 754-769 sq ft (583-590 interior + 171-182 lanai)

Atkinson Plaza - Neighborhood & Location

Atkinson Plaza is located right next to the Hawaii Convention Center and is right at the stop light intersection. Across the street on Atkinson Drive will be The Mandarin Oriental. The building is centrally located and close to Ala Moana Shopping Center, Magic Island, Ala Moana Beach Park, and near the entrance to Waikiki. There are also many restaurants and eateries located nearby. Despite being near the convention center, the building doesn't allow short term rentals.

Atkinson Plaza - Common Areas & Amenities

Atkinson Plaza has a very large tennis court located on the ground floor of the building. The tennis courts do ask to limit your games to 1 hour, but you normally don't see too many people using the tennis courts. The ground floor also features secured intercom/fob entry into the lobby where two elevators service the building.
Going up to the top of the building you will find the Atkinson Plaza rooftop amenity deck. The pool and upstairs hours are open daily from 9am to 10am and no glass-wear is allowed. After taking the stairwell from the top floor you will find yourself on the top of the building. Here you will find BBQ grills, dining areas, lounge chairs, and the pool.

Atkinson Plaza - Views

At Atkinson Plaza the units either have an Ocean, Mountain, or East/Diamond Head facing view (Diamond Head cannot be seen). There aren't really any Ewa/West side views as that is where the elevators are located. But you can see that view facing Atkinson Drive as you step off of the elevator.
